The La Posada de Albuquerque is a historic Spanish-style hotel located in downtown Albuquerque, just one block from the Albuquerque Convention Center. It is strategically located five miles from Albuquerque International Airport.
An original Hilton hotel built in 1939 under Conrad Hilton's direction, the hotel's unique and historic atmosphere deems it a museum in itself. Elaborate Moorish brass and mosaic-tiled fountain, hand-crafted circular balcony, mammoth vigas and Native American murals adorn the interior of the La Posada de Albuquerque.
Historic rooms are fashioned with southwestern detail and furnishings made by local artisans - from hand carved wooden headboards, to Pueblo Indian rugs draped across painted plaster walls. All guestrooms allow guests to step back in history while keeping the comforts of the 21st century technology.
Business travelers and leisure guests alike can rejuvenate in one of 110 guestrooms featuring cable television, designer toiletries, coffeemakers, dial-up Internet access and voicemail. Refrigerators and microwaves made available upon request for an additional fee. A day spa, restaurant, lounge and meeting space are located on site. Guests have access to a health club and pool across the street.
This hotel is also close to local dining, and convenient to many shopping and entertainment venues.
The La Posada de Albuquerque is home to Jane Butel's Southwestern Cooking School.
Please Note:
Beginning Sept. 12, 2005, the restaurant at La Posada de Albuquerque will close for approximately one year to undergo a complete remodel (date subject to change). During renovation, guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts in the lobby.
