Location. The urban-Hawaiian themed ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, is located on the most scenic end of Waikiki, directly across the street from world-famous Waikiki Beach. This resort is within six blocks of the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, International Market Place and Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Iolani Palace is less than five miles away. Cultural and historic attractions such as the Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, Bishop Museum and Polynesian Cultural Center are within 32 miles of the hotel. Honolulu International Airport is 10 miles away.
Hotel Features. The hotel's decor reflects Hawaii's cultural past and contemporary influences. A three-paneled photograph of hula dancers adorns the hotel's elevators and contrasts with cultural artifacts that include poi serving bowls and tiki torches. Neon-green surfboards and traditional tapa prints are reminiscent of Hawaii's cultural past. "Breakfast on the beach" which is served in portable carriers, is available daily, and ukulele players or Hawaiian storytellers entertain guests while they enjoy breakfast for a fee. Sunbathers can congregate around the seasonal pool and take advantage of high-tech shades that permit tanning without the associated heat. Guests can also take advantage of various outdoor pursuits near the resort, including tennis, volleyball, snorkeling and hiking. High-speed wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and pool deck areas. Tiki's Grill & Bar overlooks Waikiki's main street and beyond to the ocean, and serves catch-of-the-day seafood. The dramatic lava-rock wall interior provides a backdrop for carved pan-Polynesian figures. Wolfgang Puck Express serves quick and sophisticated fare, perfect for in-room dining.
Guestrooms. The ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel has 644 guestrooms with dark Indonesian teak furniture accented by natural-color wicker and vibrant bedspreads and headboards in most guestrooms. Bamboo-bead closet curtains depict hula dancers. Rooms, except larger suites, are 250 to 275 square feet.

Renovation Notice:
The hotel will be undergoing renovations from May 15, 2006 through the estimated completion date of October 1, 2006. Guestrooms will be completely remodeled; work on the rooms will be done by floor in staggered intervals from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m., except on Sundays and holidays. The hotel will provide unoccupied buffer floors between the floors being worked on. The hotel will also be adding a new fitness center, high-speed Internet access by mid-May and the property, upon completion, will convert to a non-smoking policy.
