Location. Located in the center of South Beach's flashy shops, nightclubs and cafes, the restored 1939 National Hotel towers over the center of South Beach. The National Hotel is close to golf courses and two blocks from the Miami Beach Convention Center and Lincoln Road Mall. Miami International Airport is 14 miles from this property.
Hotel Features. The National Hotel's lobby is filled with Art Deco antiques and richly designed wood furnishings. The concierge's lobby desk is a replica of the original counter. The Art Deco theme continues in the National's on-site eateries. Tamara tempts taste buds with French-fusion salads, quiche, steak, salmon, lobster and lamb. Specialty drinks, a Friday social hour and live entertainment are available in D'Lounge. The Zee Pool Lounge serves poolside cocktails and specialty rums. Poolside yoga classes compliment the National Hotel's 205-foot-long pool area.
Guestrooms. The National Hotel's guestrooms feature 300-thread-count European custom-designed sheets, terry bathrobes and slippers. Neutral tones, soft lighting, and modern geometric shapes complement the hotel's Art Deco inspiration. Renovation Notice:
From June 14 - November 30, 2006, one elevator in the Historic Tower building will be out of service for modernization, resulting in slower than usual elevator service to City- and Ocenfront rooms. Only one elevator will be in use during this time, though all rooms have easy stairway access to the lobby or other floors. Renovation will not affect the Deluxe Cabana Wing. Limited noise may be experienced during periods but is not expected to be a major factor during the project. Any rooms impacted (near the elevators) will be unavailable during this period. Work will occur Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
