Location. The Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, Fla., is located on 20 lush, tropical acres two miles from Miami Convention Center.
Hotel Features. Revolving glass doors deliver guests to a bustling lobby with a nightclub and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the pool and tropical gardens. The resort provides lounge chairs, cabanas, umbrellas and water toys such as parasails, wave runners, rafts and boogie boards. Child-friendly amenities include a recreation program and an octopus-themed water park with a 260-foot slide. A sundeck surrounds a half-acre lagoon pool with a grotto and waterfalls. Diners can enjoy sushi, caviar, carved meats and pastas at the Bleau View or sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes at the Trop-Art Cafe. Hotel guests can get preferred tee times at the nearby l8-hole Miami Beach Golf Club. The on-site fitness center includes spa services, free weights, a treadmill, circuit machines and stair machines. A boardwalk parallel to the beach and hotel is a favorite for strolling and jogging.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Fontainebleau Resort include minibars, coffeemakers and marble bathrooms with designer amenities. Select rooms include flat-screen televisions and CD players.
Expert Tip. The children's pool features a water slide and lazy river, and adults can enjoy live music at the tiki bar.
Renovation notice
Beginning March 12, 2006, the Fontainebleau will begin a reconstruction and expansion project. During this renovation the original Resort portion of the property will be closed. As a result, guests will receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite in the new 36-story Fontainebleau Tower. During the renovation the pool area for the original Resort portion of the property will be closed. The tower pool on Floor 7 will remain open.

Indian Creek Drive becomes Collins Avenue.
