Location. Perched atop a 30-foot bluff over western Florida's Intracoastal Waterway is the Belleview Biltmore in Clearwater, Fla. Guests are 20 miles from Tampa International Airport and 10 miles from St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport. Sand Key Park and Clearwater Beach are both within five miles of the property.
Hotel Features. Built in 1897, this model of Victorian architecture is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Palm trees, live oaks with Spanish moss and a sweeping driveway beckon guests into a lobby showcasing picture windows and views of the landscaped grounds. Golf lessons are available from PGA members through the Belleview Golf Academy at the 18-hole, par-71, Donald Ross-designed course. Eclips Day Spa and Salon provides pampering treatments including detoxifying seaweed wraps, hydrotherapy and individual Pilates instruction. The Cabana Club Restaurant, on the resort's private beach, serves fresh seafood and shellfish on the deck or indoors. Lighter fare is featured at Magnolia Cafe, while evenings at the Palm Grill offer seasonal favorites, steak and live piano music. Complimentary 90-minute historical walking tours are available on premises every morning and Saturday evenings feature an interactive murder mystery dinner theater.
Guestrooms. Each of the 244 guestrooms are uniquely configured. Some feature water views, include a small refrigerator or a decorative, nonfunctional fireplace. First-floor rooms offer 14-foot ceilings, while all accommodations have period mahogany furnishings, triple sheeting and decor in cool mint and warm cerise.
